Corrections & Right of Reply
Material factual errors should be corrected transparently. Substantive responses should be considered on their merits.
Correction
A request should identify the article, the precise statement disputed, why it is inaccurate, and the evidence supporting the correction.
Assessment
The published record, source material and relevant response will be reviewed. Disagreement with analysis or opinion is not, by itself, a factual error.
Publication record
A material correction will be attached to the article in clear language. Significant new evidence may be recorded as an update with its date.
Right of reply
A fair, relevant and proportionate response may be published or reflected in the reporting. Responses are not exempt from verification or editing for accuracy, length and legal risk.
